9-3 Jets early in 4th after another Panther turnover

The only way the New York Jets can score in this game, apparently, is when the Panthers turn the ball over while trying to return a punt. Even then, the Jets only get a long field goal.

Since Carolina has now done that three times, however, the Jets lead 9-3.

The third punt-return error came from Kenny Moore, who caught a punt around his own 40, fell on his backside, got up, made a nice move and got whammed at midfield, causing Moore to cough it up.

The Jets moved the ball a little until the Panther reserve defense -- playing almost as well as the starters -- stopped them with help from some fine play from reserve defensive lineman Eric Moore.

So the Jets got a 49-yard field goal from Nick Folk and early in the fourth quarter it is:

New York Jets 9, Carolina 3

FEAR NOT Panther fans! Rumor has it the Panther's brain trust (you know-the guys who traded draft picks to get Armanti Edwards)expected problems at QB. John Fox has already traded ALL remaining 2011 draft picks to Cleveland -- to bring Jake back! GO JAKE - GO JAKE - GO JAKE!! Prediction - 3-13. But hey - remember - it is what it is

my prediction is John Fox will be coach of the year for making the most out of a rebuilding year. wait - i thought rebuilding meant bringing in actual talent??

Well someone explain how a coach can throw a red flag on a play when there has NOT been a flag thrown on the play to begin with?? Granted the Panthers DID have 12 on the field BUT there was NO flag thrown yet Rex Ryan threw a challenge flag and WON...

What is the deal with Armanti Edwards?? They talk ALL night about how good he is and what a superstar that he's gonna be...BS!!!!!!!! He's USELESS!! He can't catch and he's SCARED when he hears footsteps!! BIG WASTE of money for the Panthers..

I just don't understand!! The Panther's hire powerhouse Cleveland Brown's Offenisve Coordinator and they struggle scoring points. Somethings just don't make any sense. i.e. - Marty Hurney has a job, John Fox has a job, Jeff Davidson has a job, and perhaps the biggest mystery - people continue paying good money for tickets. Amazing!

Don't panic, it's only the preseason. Just look at last year -- we didn't win in the preseason and we went on to ... oh no, we're screwed again.

Dear Carolina Panthers,
Hey guys! I hope all is well down in Charlotte. I promised to keep in touch and thought I'd give you my stats thus far through our 2preseason games.

Game 1 -
12 of 16 for 127 yards and a touchdown.

Game 2 -
18 of 23 for 193 yards and another touchdown.

By the way, how is Matt doing in my place? Well I better get going. Our coach takes things like practice and being prepared much more seriously than Foxy ever did. Have a great year. I love you guys ... NOT!

Your friend,
Jake Delhomme
