Panthers cut Bills' lead to 17-9

Carolina has finally scored its first TD of the game. On fourth-and-1 from the 15, DeAngelo Williams burst through a 9-man front and scored standing up. John Kasay's extra point made it 17-9, Buffalo, with 6:28 to go.

The TD was set up when Jake Delhomme hit Steve Smith on a 48-yard pass on fourth-and-4 from Carolina's own 28. The drive covered 9 plays and 78 yards. Carolina would have to do something like that again, then get a two-point conversion to tie the game and send it into overtime.

So all in all the Panthers Defense gave up three frickin points today...the rest were charity from 2 interceptions and a fumble...

And yet (fans) usued loosely b!tch about why Peppers is trying to get the he!! out of there.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. This season is an absolute embarrassment. This HAS to be Delhomme's last season with this team. He is THE biggest setback we have going right now. This team has too much talent on the roster to be playing this way. I'm sorry, but Fox has gotta go and he needs to take his little buddy Jake with him. It's just time to move on so this team can live up to it's potential.

This is Jake's last game.He must be benched.

least Jake got another interception in before the game was over....

Fire Fox. Fire Jake. The end.

They think loyalty works one way. They want our money and wont give us a decent product. Is it gonna take Deangelo Williams to want to leave for a change to happen. I feel for our players. They deserve better.

Seriously. How many times do I have to stand up for Delhomme? He SUCKS.

Look at that last throw. Jarrett was WIDE OPEN!! And he throws to the ONLY PLAYER WITH DOUBLE COVERAGE

Guys its not Fox's fault. Its Delhomme. NO MORE JAKE

I hope this was Jake and John's last game as members of the Panthers. Jake gave this game away to the Bills...nearly all of his long passes were overthrown with three interceptions. Special teams get an F for their performance too. The running backs were decent, but that's about all you can say. It will be interesting to see what John Fox says after the game. Please, Mr. Richardson -- let's get going and make some changes. The Panthers will probably not win more than one more game this year, so it won't hurt to make some changes NOW.

John Fox and Jake must go! Gruden would be excellent here in Carolina. The team has not shown up for an entire game this year.

Anonymous said...

It's Fox's fault that he leaves Jake in the game.

How many more games are they going to let Jake lose for us?

J Stat said...

Jon Gruden? Are you serious? Talk about trading mediocre for mediocre. What a moron.

Get someone who has proven he can work with an offense, proven to be a hall of fame coach. Either that, or get someone firey and young like McDaniels.

I say either get Shanahan, who WANTS to coach again, or get Kyle Shanahan, the 30 year old OC in Houston.

Exactly

From the Panthers.com website:

Carolina Panthers Owner/Founder Jerry Richardson once said, "The fan is the most valuable member of our team."

This is not the case anymore. I understand now why his sons wanted out of there, they jumped off of a sinking ship. This PSL owner is sickened by what that front office has done to this franchise in only 8 months. Mr. Richardson doesn't care about the fans anymore, that much is obvious. It's on him to change my mind, not the other way around.

Stupidest bunch of football personnel in the history of the league. I wish I could come up with a better word than stupid.

Was anyone else ticked off when that Byrd guy INT'd the tipped pass and the commentators went NUTS about him.

The whole time I'm like he INT'd a tipped pass from jake the Mistake. Give me a break LOL

Jerry Richardson doesn't seem to care about the fans only the PSL money. Until he respects the people of NC i am becoming a Steeler fan. It's the Hornets all over again.

I'm not a Carolina fan but nonetheless, I feel sorry for the fans and this team. JD's play and JF's inability to remedy the situation are embarrassments to this otherwise talented team. As leaders and competitors, doing only harm and no good, both should step away.

This game was the last straw, What is going on behind the scene of the Panther org. that continue to use a q-back whos time has cime to pass and ditto on the coach. As for me and my family, we won't spend another dime going to a panthers game untill Jake and that coach are removed!!!

Why are we the only NFL city to put up with this crap.

Anonymous said...

of all teams why would u become a steelers fan. most annoying fans of any team.

J Stat said...

Haha seriously. I mean the Steelers are one of those ALWAYS good every year teams, but I'd say at least stay south and jump on the Saints bandwagon haha

Anonymous said...

Too much talent to be losing like this. Independence High's coach could win more games with this team. C'mon people. Enough is enough. I am boycotting til a change is made.

Anonymous said...

Because the Steelers don't put up with incompetent coaches or GMs thats all and they have a good fan base here. Now i see why. I love the panthers but love has to go both ways.

Anonymous said...

oh? ok? theres a whole bunch more teams that dont do that either? but hey what do iknow? jump on the bandwagon woo hoo!

Anonymous said...

Not bandwagon jumping. Going where my money is appreciated if nothing changes. Hope it doesn't take that but everyone has their opinion and i respect yours.

Plus until we got a team i was a Steelers fan. But when we got our own team i made them my team cause i live here now.

"Why are we the only NFL city to put up with this crap."

Because your city has fans dumb enough to keep buying season tickets to sorry ass games. I said it before and i will say it again. If you guys want a decent team quit buying tickets. Jerry will be forced to change when his pockets come up light. Why continue to cry every year about this sorry team when you guys keep supporting them?

Anonymous said...

hate to say it but you are right. I am dumb enough to support an owner that doesn't seem to care about me but it stops today. Thanks for the tough love.

Even though T.O. didn't catch a pass from the Bills' new QB, Jake Delhomme played great in Trent Edwards place.
