The Panthers have added yet another field goal -- John Kasay's third of the game -- to extend their lead to 23-3 with 5:05 left in the third quarter.
This field goal came courtesy of Panther cornerback Richard Marshall, who recovered a fumble by New Orleans wide receiver Robert Meachem at the Carolina 28.
Again, the Panthers were unable to move the ball, but that was close enough to let Kasay tack on another field goal.
We're moving!

Anyone who thinks that Fox should be fired is dreaming. We had two 1,000 yard backs, will finish the season 8-8 after having the worst QB in the league for 75% of the season. And, most importantly, after we were eliminated from the playoffs the team went out and demolished two playoff-caliber teams and shut out, on the road, a playoff hopeful (Giants).
Maybe Charlotte is bored with Fox but he is one of the top ten coaches in the league for sure, if not top 5.
Mark, everything you just said can be spun the other way to say why Fox SHOULD be fired. Two 1,110 yard backs, and very steady, ball-hawking defense, a great WR, a great O-line...WHY AREN'T WE IN THE PLAYOFFS? Oh, that's right, because Fox was so stubborn and stood behind Delchoke for 3/4 of the season. The Panthers need passion, someone who can evaluate talent, and someone who earns respect and publicity. Enter Cowher.
Also, that we were able to beat the Giants and Vikings so badly shouldn't help Fox. Sure, it shows the players are behind him. But so what? Great, we play well when nothing is on the line...
