Arizona WANTS this rematch

Philadelphia's whipping of Minnesota Sunday means that Arizona comes to Charlotte for a rematch with Carolina at 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

Here are 5 things to know about the Cardinals -- a story that was published in Monday's paper. As for a few details about what happened the first time around on a picture-perfect October afternoon in Charlotte -- Kurt Warner threw for 381 yards but Carolina won 27-23, with Steve Smith scoring twice and DeAngelo Williams once for the Panthers.

I thought you'd find interesting what Arizona Republic beat writer Kent Somers wrote in his Sunday's newspaper, before the Cardinals knew whether they were going to play at the New York Giants or at Carolina this coming weekend.

Wrote Somers: "The Cardinals aren't saying who they would like to play next, but it's the Panthers. They've been to Carolina this season and lost, 27-23, in a game they feel like they should have won."

Beware what you wish for!

Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Hopefully the Panthers won't look down on the Cardinals as some team that they can just waltz over. We need to bring our A-game in this game and for the rest of the season if we want to go all the way.

Cardinal fan in the house.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what Somers says, he's just filling space.

Anyone who watched the first game knows the Cardinals let this one get away.

That being said, should be a good game. I hope Q can play.

Good luck. GO BIG RED

I meant "that" one get away.

I hope that wasn't a Freudian slip.

Better get that QB cause we cannot come close to covering those WRs down field all game. I think we should be able to run better than ATL. Come on Peppers time to really earn that money you will be getting next year.

Go Cardinals!!!! This is for sure the team we wanted. Just like the cards were the team you wanted.

We don't need Q when we have Larry the best WR in the NFL.

Rick, the best WR in the NFL will be in the stadium Saturday night, but it won't be Fitzgerald. Enjoy watching #89 for the second time this season.

BTW

I know y'all know better, but the caption on the photo showing our Cards, LF and RW should be Glendale, AZ not Glendale CA:)

This game will be decided on who's defense stops the run. If Warner has to come close to attempting 49 passes like the previous meeting the Cards are in trouble. If AZ keeps the Panthers ground game down like they did ATL then Steve Smith will have to do his usual heroics to keep 'em in it. Go Cards!

I must say, I commend you AZ fans for coming on OUR website blog and representin the Cards like you have. I'm not too sure our fanbase has done much of the same to your sites. Panthers fans are either diehard, or some of the mos fairweather in the NFL. Our team will need us this weekend more than any other game this year! So to all the REAL Panthers fans out there let's try and replicate MNF and get give them birds some hell! GO PANTHERS!!
