30-7 Arizona: Delhomme now has 4 turnovers

It has turned fully into a nightmarish game for Jake Delhomme, whose third interception (and fourth overall turnover) just led to more points for Arizona. Neil Rackers' 30-yard field goal made it 30-7, Arizona, with 4:40 left in the third quarter.

Carolina actually had a bit of life defensively in the third quarter. Jon Beason intercepted Kurt Warner to give Carolina great field position in Arizona territory with it still 27-7.

The Panthers had to knock it in from there to make this a game. Instead, Delhomme faked a screen to Steve Smith and instead tried to throw a slant to him. But Arizona CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie -- who is having an incredible game -- recovered to tip the ball.

Smith touched it, too, but really had no chance, and Arizona's Antrel Rolle intercepted it and ran it back more than 40 yards to set up Rackers' FG.

Wildcat to Deangelo rest of the game. That way Duh-Lomme can't give the ball back to the Cardinals.

Get Delhomme OUT OF THE GAME!!!!!!!

Lets go for a complete FIST FULL.....5 frigging turnovers.................................................

Again - GET DELHOMME OUT OF CHARLOTTE!!!!!!

There has to be another quarterback in the stadium. Maybe one of those Punt Pass and Kick kids could do better. This is embarrassing.

30-7 Arizona...Boos everywhere....Broken keyboards and mouse breakage on the rise...Thunder in the distance...Get Real....We look horrible.......

Scott,

Do you think the "blackout" hurt us in this game? I think it would be easier for Jake to look down field for white uniforms at night, under the lights, especially against the stadium's black background. Marketing cost u the game.

Fox will stay with DULL HOME till the bitter end. He will not pull him unless Jake pulls himself...this sux

make that 5 turnovers - even more than Cocktail Kerry in the SB... Jake is horrible, and Fox is even worse for not yanking him after 3 turnovers.
I still don't know how he get's so much hype as he does nothing for the passing game and constantly picks his WR target BEFORE the ball is hiked. Keyshawn was right in not taking any of the blame for Jake's INTs.

I thought the black was a bad idea also..You are 100% correct on visibility...

he got intercepted again ....now this is getting comical ...

what a .... up our qb was in this game...

sorry but true...

this birthday should haunt him for life...and yet we dont even have a qb to replace his a..

Ironic enough every analyst called it by saying that a Carolina loss would come at the hands of shakey Jakey.

I am so sorry Mr. Richardson had to watch this MESS!!!!!

Unknown said...

Mr. Richardson should have to watch this because he's the one that let Fox make Henning his scape-goat when it was obviously Fox making the calls about the O - it's the exact same O w/ Davidson as OC and look what Henning did in MIA...

FOX needs to GO. CAR didn't have a winning season because of his coaching. CAR had a winning season DESPITE Fox's coaching.

erniepay said...

OMG......5 interceptions and SHOULD have been 6-10......Fox SHOULD be let go.....

Bench Delhomme

Fire Fox. Fire Delhomme. Draft a new QB and freakin start over.

Almost makes you wonder if Jake is throwing the game.

Unknown said...

Scott can't even blog as fast as Jake can throw picks...

erniepay said...

Does Jake have Mafia connections?????

Rhyno said...

Glad I didn't get to go to this one.

erniepay said...

ALLRIGHT..Arizona got another first down..That means a few more minutes before another interception!

Jake is not a starting QB. When is Fox and the Panthers head going to realize that. He is just being allowed to start. he sucks

sorrypanfan said...

First of all Jake sucks a!@#. There should be no surprise in the defense. They have been letting teams pass on them all year long. The defensive coordinator has no idea of what pass coverage is. Too much talent on this team to have such a poor coaching staff. They have no heart to finish a game the way it shold be.

I think Mr. Scott is about as sick as talking about it as we are wondering what the hell has happened to Jake...

And to not have another QB, to at least come in to keep us from watching yet another, is just messed up...

Maybe when Jake talks to his agent, considering he and Kurt share one, he can find him a place to go....

erniepay said...

Lost amidst all of this interception crap...Where in the H E / / has Julius Friggin Peppers been all night??????

sorrypanfan said...

You have to be a poor coach not to pull a QB that has thrown even 3 interceptions, much less 5. Should have stuck to the run.

Jake was a disgrace

Rhyno said...

is there anyone left in the stadium?

Unknown said...

can't blame the DBs too much - they can only cover guys for so long. There was a HUGE difference when CAR actually came out blitzing to start the 2nd half.
But i'm certain Trgo will get blamed and probably get fired in this offseason just like Henning was 2 years ago, even though it's Fox making the real calls as to what can be run... next year will be the same old "foxball" b.s. but probably w/ a much worse outcome because CAR won't have as easy of a schedule again.

And being on the field the entire game doesn't help either.

erniepay said...

Yeh...It is full of Cardinals...And they ALL have a game ball courtesy of Jake!

GET CASSELL THIS OFFSEASON OR BE FIRED.

What you don't know...
Sure. Beat up on Jake all you want. Go ahead. But what you don't realize, is that after the initial drive and touchdown by the Panthers, Jake received word that his faithful kitty, Mrs. Snickerdoodles had been kidnapped and the only way to win her freedom was to throw interceptions at any given opportunity and play like a total retard. Only then would Mrs. Snickerdoodles be freed. What's more, the defensive coordinator received word that unless he left Fitzgerald totally uncovered all night long, his sordid past as an ambisexual walnut might be revealed.

Fire jake, Fox, and the staff. What a cluster this was.

Feels sooo good to kick your butts. I like it, I love it, I want some more of it.

Unknown said...

I want my money back- the team should be embarassed that people paid their hard earned to watch them stink it up like that.

Delhomme has to go or this will be our outcome every year. I mean to let your teammates down like that after all the hard work everyone has put in is heartbreaking. He never gave us a chance to compete with 6 interception and let not forget the fumble that gave them good field position and the momentum in the first quarter. He laid the Def out to dry by having the worst playoff game in NFL history, 7 turnovers in one game by one player. I love my panthers but until we get a better scheme going on offense and defense we will continue to be predictable. They knew everything we were running because of how simple the scheme is and that gose for the defense to. I hope we can buld form this and not end up at the buttom half of the league again. Man! it hurts to see the season over for my boys. GO Panthers!!!!!!!
