Cam Newton erratic early but Panthers lead Jaguars 2-0

The Carolina Panthers have taken a baseball lead on Jacksonville -- 2-0 -- after Greg Hardy and Terrell McClain combined for a sack of rookie Jaguar quarterback Blaine Gabbert on Jacksonville's first possession Sunday.

Cam Newton is only 3-for-9 for 26 yards so far, as both Panther drives have stalled between the Jacksonville 40 and 50. Newton has been throwing the ball high on most occasions and had two passes nearly picked off.

Looks like the coaches invested a little more time in the run game this week in practice. Deservably so. However got to keep Cam and Steve and the other recievers working on newer tweeks in their connection. Balance guys!!! Cam will realize sooner or later that when you have a team on its' heels you take them out. Those off the mark passes can result to teams coming back on you. Like the champs did last week. Carolina will get it all together. GO PANTHERS!
