My take on Bobcats' possible sale

I've written a column for Friday's Observer that you can find here about selling the Bobcats -- both in the "Bob Johnson should sell this team" sort of way and also the "The Bobcats still haven't sold themselves to this community" sort of way.

As I point out in the column, the on-court product has never been better in 5-plus seasons for the Bobcats. At 24-24, Charlotte would -- if the season ended today -- be the No.6 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bobcats would face No.3 Boston in a first-round series in that scenario.

I also advocate in the column for Bob Johnson to sell the team to somebody. I think it will help the team greatly from a PR perspective and force more people to inwardly give the Bobcats a chance. And this team deserves a chance from area sports fans. Again, you can read the column here.

Wasnt BJ the one who bragged at the beginning about making big bucks in the NBA even though in the real world the Hornets were losing 20 mill a year plus most all NBA teams lost money?
Come on BJ. Dont leave. Stick around. Lose some more.

I hope that when he sells the "Bob"cats that many will see the team in a new light, with new ownership and a clean slate. I know I will.

PS-Picture makes you look like a banker not a sports guy. You need to look more like a sports guy. You know remote in one hand, mouse in the other, beer beside you and wife yelling about ESPN on the TV 24/7. :-)

Why the Saints will win... Defense. Assuming they are not still sitting on top of Favres chest, they will find a new chest to sit on. They looked awesome in the last game. Brees had one of the worst games I have seen from him, but it didn't matter cause the Saints D was so good. I think Brees shows up this time tho. The Colts are good, but how many rings have they won under Peyton? They have been here before, its nothing new to them. Don't under estimate the excitement of the Saints who have dreamed of this moment since they were Sainted by Pat O'brien. Its there destiny. I'll take the Saints in the upset.

Super Bowl was rigged. Manning was still hot about Caldwell giving away the NY game and intentionally spoiling the 1st perfect season since the 1972 Dolphins plus his born and raised home town is NO where his parents still live so he got the last laugh.
Had it not been for daddy Archies old Aints neither him nor Eli would be playing in the NFL anyway.

This whole thing has clearly been a set up from the gitgo anyway and the interception TD was clearly intentional. No more freebies though ...
