A short Stephen Curry update for all you fans of the former Davidson Wildcat star:
-- Curry is back to playing after his frustrating ankle injury reared its head earlier this month, which didn't allow him to play Golden State's lone game in Charlotte.
Curry has now been back for two games. He played 36 minutes Monday night in Golden State's one-point loss to Memphis and scored 18 points. His father Dell said today at the Bobcats' pregame shootaround that Curry isn't experiencing any pain with the ankle.
-- Curry and his wife Ayesha have tweeted that they are expecting their first child.
"It's gonna be the husband, me and little Curry next fall -- I can't wait," Ayesha Curry tweeted last week. Stephen added in a tweet of his own: "We didn't waste any time LOL." The two were married in Charlotte in the summer of 2011.
-- Curry won't be on the 2012 U.S. Olympic team -- he didn't make the most recent cut to 20 finalists for what will ultimately be 12 spots -- but holds out hope he might be able to play on the 2016 U.S. team. Curry did play on the 2010 U.S. team that won a world championship.

Imagine how great a jumper this kid is going to have.
Sometimes, watching Bobcats games, I get the feeling Dell thinks he could jump out from the broadcast table, still wearing civies, and out-shoot everyone on the floor. Now, we get to call him Grandpa. Steve Martin & Stephanie Ready are going to have a field day with this.
Steph still looks 12, so him having a child creeps me out!
It seems Stephen hit the ground running in the baby dept. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the ankle. It's been fun having a good reason to follow the NBA, in addition to the Bobcats.
What a great guy! What a cool family!
Congrats to the new parents-to-be. Thanks for the fun.
Good for Steph. At least he did it in the right order. First wedding, then baby.
Hope everything goes well.
graduated school, no tats, kid after marriage.....does this guy belong in the NBA ????
Hope he has a prenup
yes he does belong in the NBA...there are more than him in the league that often go unnoticed
Instead of calling the Observer the Daily Tar Heel, we need to start calling it the Daily Curry-er, since every day they bow in front of Steph Curry, and he doesn't play here. Makes me want to vomit.
Steph Curry is a homegrown hero...growing up and going to high school and college in the area. What a role model. This is the kind of sports figure we enjoy reading about in Charlotte. Sorry Bob Johnson and MJ. Rather read about the Currys than the injuries fighting over Air Jordans. Also sorry if you don't want to read about him...the rest of us do. Just turn the page.
