Greg Hardy is really, really confident

Greg Hardy has lost no confidence after the first few days of training camp. Three quick hits from Hardy, the defensive end, whom I will focus my column on for Wednesday’s Observer:

1. On what he planned to do on the Panthers’ off day Wednesday: “Sleep, some more sleep and maybe a massage and come back and dominate some more.”

2. On if he has hit his ceiling yet as a player: “There is no roof. The sky keeps going. So that’s where I’m going to go.”

3. On whether he cared to back off from his outrageous, half-in-jest preseason prediction of 50 sacks in 2013 (which would more than double the NFL record and more than quadruple Hardy's 2012 total): “You got a TV? Watch.”

More from Hardy in Wednesday’s Observer.

I like Hardy, and hope he does well wherever he ends up next year.

Only reason he hasn't been extended by the Panthers is he becomes a little expendable after we take Clowney with the #1 overall pick next year.

I guess we will have to trade Jimmy Clausen for the #1 pick?
