OK, so the Panthers are getting to that jokey stage now -- the picture above only cements that logic. Last year I saw a lot of kids dressed as Cam Newton for Halloween. This year? Well, the Newton jerseys are still out there, but as you can see from the above photo, some youngsters are becoming a little more creative with them in 2012. That's what happens when you start 1-6. Did anyone else out there see any Panther-oriented costumes for Halloween?

Can't go worse than 1-15, so it can't be the worst year ever, because any team with both Seiffert and Weinke lose the tiebreak.
Those same nimrods who thought Cam was the savior will be booing him off the field in another three weeks.
Are you kidding me! my kids got Panther tickets in their trick or treat back last nite!
This is Scott: I was unable to post another comment I got from a reader due to technical difficulties but here it is, cut-and-pasted: "Great pic. My neighbor's kid came to my door with a Gatorade towel on his head. It was hilarious! He got an extra $1 coin and some Kit Kats from me."
Charlotte needs real sports fans. I'm in it with the team, thick or thin. Win, lose, super star QB or not, there's only 32 teams in the NFL and we have 1 in the Carolinas. Doubt you need a lesson on statistics but maybe you do.
f it wasn't for pro sports in this city, the Observer sports staff wouldn't have crap to write about. Win or lose, they're helping you keep your jobs in the dying days of print newspapers. Don't jump on the bandwagon when we're back up and winning, either. don't need ya.
I hear the Panthers didn't go trick-or-treating last night but they are dressing up like an NFL football team on Sunday.
@Anonymous 6:16: You really should get over yourself. I've lived in four other NFL cities - large-market cities at that - and the fans were even more fickle. Lose for a full quarter in Philly and they're calling for heads. I was there when the Eagles lost to the Panthers in the NFC title game; you'd have thought they were going to burn the place down. It's part of the grieving process to hack at your team when they abuse your emotions like this.
A friend of mine, with a nod to Mr. Richardson's business past, suggests that fans show up wearing not just with any bag, but with *Hardee's* bags over the heads!
Ha. This has been the best fan reaction I have seen so far this season. That would be right, it was from some kids. This picture should be posted on the front of every Panther player's locker.
